Alex Broadbent

Personal Trainer and Strength and Conditioning Coach. BSc (hons)

Having made a career switch from a cushy corporate role to a Personal Trainer 4 years ago, and going from a guaranteed salary to the uncertainty of early days self-employment, I can hand on heart say it was the best decision I ever made despite the earache I received from my family! Football has always been my passion and I have been lucky enough to avoid injuries (always hide when the tackles fly in!) and play it for as long as I can remember. I first got in to weight training to help my football aged around 15 and it has been a big part of my life ever since. I didn’t realise it at the time, but the mental wellbeing benefits I was getting from weight training were having as much of an impact as the physical changes. I love training and I love helping people, so becoming a Personal Trainer seemed a natural fit when I wanted to do something different with my life. When I am not working, I enjoy nothing more than leaving my phone at home and taking a long walk in the countryside with my dog (and sometimes the girlfriend tags along!). I love/hate my football team, Aston Villa, in equal measures and I have been known to enjoy a hot curry and cold beer (usually more than one beer after a Villa defeat!). 

Marion Wachet

Qualified as a Clinical and Counselling Psychologist, and “Striving for Excellence” award winner, I have more than 15 years experience working in a variety of Psychology related areas.  Through my personal and professional experience, I have seen how your mental health can affect your physical health, and vice versa. I have witnessed how stress, anxiety, and depression can physically and psychologically affect you and stop you from reaching your full potential. However, I have also seen how quickly you can turn it around with a positive mindset, a healthy lifestyle, and the right support.    Passionate about the life-transforming impact my work has on my clients, I want to share these experiences more broadly and support individuals in making long-lasting, positive changes in their lives. 

Shannen Poulton

Assistant Psychologist - Psychology BSc, MSc

I have over 5 years of experience working in mental health services. An avid gym goer, I have always found that looking after my body has a knock on effect on my mental health. Whilst undertaking my masters in Psychology I decided to explore that interest and investigated the role physical activity has in mental health and well-being. Since then when working with clients I have always advocated for exercise to be implemented in their day to day lives as a way of managing stress and anxiety. I have seen first hand the incredible effects this has had on people who have suffered with their mental health. Supporting people to create long-term sustainable change is something that I am passionate about. Working on the RESET well-being project has cemented my belief that by learning more about the intrinsic connection between mind and body we can allow ourselves to make that change and reach our full potential!

I have years of experience caring for others, both personally and professionally in different mental health environments.  Taking a holistic approach to health, I believe that the first step in creating sustainable change is to strive for a healthier mind with self-compassion and understanding.  Through this program, we can RESET our well-being and truly reach our full potential.

Rachel Rose

Wellbeing Champion - Nutrition

I have over 5 years experience working in the addiction services and I now work supporting young adults with complex needs. I’m passionate about healthy lifestyle and strive daily to improve my mind, body and soul. I have personal experience in both addiction and mental health and I am on my own journey of healing and discovering my true self. I have previously completed the Reset Well-being programme and it has opened my eyes and heart to how truly amazing we are as human beings and what we are truly capable of. Passionate about food and the importance of having a healthy relationship with what we put into our bodies, I am excited to help others with this relationship.
